Rule No 1.: Never buy a board from a Pro. Especially a wave board... If you want an abused board than you got one.
Another way to look at it / alternate perspective.
Pros have their technique and landings together. So very few flat landings. Most pros come in super soft from back loops (nose it in) or have their forward technique down (parachute floaty landings)
Intermediates / progressing sailors can do some HIDEOUS flat landings as they are learning all the lessons the hard way.
It very much depends on who the sailor is.
