Last time I was there I was thinking it is way too shallow for foiling. And id love to wing foil there. Imagine if they got it super deep so there would be shoulder high bumps on a run out tide with a northerly !!!

Looking for a foil with similar glide to the 1201 but easier to turn, the 1201 is awesome for staying on foil but turns like a barge. I have the art V2 999 which is great but I cant keep it up on foil flagged out for very long.
Anyone compared these two?
Goal is to use it to Parawing upwind/ ride bumps downwind in bay swell.
Cheers

has anyone more recently picked up the Mini Dart or have any additional comments/reviews?
I'm looking at the 80l (80kg rider) as I am currently riding a 99lt SMIK and want to size down without going to full sinker. Wing and Parawing in bay swell.
Cheers

Are you looking for Waves or Flat water?
I've kited boracay in the past, and i wouldnt think its that great for winging. Like you say, busy as **, reef is a problem, and i cant see there being any decent wind swell at bulabog. Maybe further north on the island outside of that sheltered zone.
We did El Union and Siargao in December, both had no wind, but decent swell. Siargao looked super hectic on the inside of the reef breaks. Then again i could imagine it would be awesome with a decent seabreeze north of Cloud 9, in the bay area, as Its deep and the swell runs all the way through into the bay. But i cant find any written reviews or experiences on the spot at all - no one was foiling out there, and the sport is so fickle probably because of the expense. The locals can barely afford a surfboard let alone thousands of $$ on foiling kit.
I reckon (like with anything travelling) you really just need to pack up your lightest and smallest gear and just head over there and stay for as long as you can, scoping out every spot possible, and using that experience for the next year. I spent hours researching Siargao for surfing, but when I was actually there, it turns out it wasnt as good as I thought it would be - I dont think i'll return, but just use it as knowledge for the next trip.
