Well the board arrived and I put it to the test: I like it!
- Stable
- Feels light and agile
- Turns fast even when rowing
- Nicely finished

the bad, I’ve only tried it on a fairly calm day 2/3 ft powerless waves, unfortunately I’ve just found out that I’ve throcanteritis on my left phase 1 osteoarthri hip.
It looks like I’ll be on dry dock for some weeks.

need you experience on that one!

Put the money down for a new 2023 allwave 8.7 31” 135lt which will arrive soon, hopefully.Fanatic is getting rid of all the allwave stock to push the Duotone brand, so price of the new old stock is vey atractive!

Unfortunately Sunovas Ghost are not widely available in Spain and their prices over here double my new coming board. My objective is to be reasonably comfortable while waiting for the line, the surf side is going to be ok.

If i progress reasonably, there will be time for going shorter!

Thanks Suppers!

I’m a 66yo 75kg, surfing since 1970 and started doing paddel surf ocassionally some years ago.
Now I’ve more time available, and i’m getting more into paddel surf when waves are smaller, up to 5 feet. My surfing place is beach breaks with mushy to vertical days and I do surf/paddle surf mostly in spring and summer.

Now I’ve a 2013 8.6 allwave 30” wide and 130ltr and find it quite unstable on choppy or windy conditions and not very agile in surfing. IMO it’s all due to boxy rails. So I’m looking for a new board

My holy grail is the 2023 Fanatic allwave 8.7 31” and 135lts. Most volume in the middle for stability, an inch wider and much finer rails for more radical turning. BTW 2023 was the last year for Allwaves boards after Fanatic went Duotone.

Anyone experience in that board? last new boards are on offer now and i need a quick decision.
Any alternatives for my characteristics, long surfing experience, a few years on my body and intermediate paddle level
