For the river, I'm not sure you'll get the true benefit of the X series. The X series is all about hitting white water in waves. Controllable roll and reentry on airs.

Compared the the S you will lose glide. The S is the all around series from Code and hard to beat unless you're trying to specialize in one specific aspect.

Can only speak from my experience with the 810X at 87Kg. I've mainly PW downwinded the 980S in all the the usual Gorge wave spots, last and this season but wanted something smaller for the big days. Would have prefered an 850S but buying a new three season old foil seemed like financial suicide and this 810 came up used, so I jumped on it. It took three sessions or so to get used to it but now I'd never give it up. Anytime I can use a 3m or smaller doing Rufus runs or in the corridor I'll be on this, it's so forgiving and rolls so fast.
I would agree though there's still untapped potential there in breaking waves.

We chatted privately for a little bit and I picked his brain on deeper details about the Orbit. Conversation ended with me very excited for my incoming order. He also bought the 2.4m and 3.1m LTX just like I did. I think an Orbit/LTX combo is going to cover every imaginable scenario I encounter on the water.

Closest thing we have now for real world use of the PPC, well done!! If the guy was talking about yesterday 07/27, I was also out in the same zone on a V1 4.3m PR. I'm pretty skeptical that a double skin will do much better than this upwind in the Gorge where reaches are short but looking forward to be proven wrong. Theoretically they have to point higher but this is already 9.5+ Kn VMG upwind. Maybe you can get the guy to plug a .GPX file into Wrens VMG calculator ?

Two spotted at the Hatchery today. 3.5 and 2.7. Barely windy enough for my 3.6PR so that seems to speak well for the low end.

KA also seen doing laps on an Afterburner. Nice clean top surface is all I can say about it...

Still struggling with the lines they do not stow as easily as the Frigate.

Agreed, lines are kinda like wire and don't want to stow. I still like the V1 lines better despite the (rare anymore) tangles.
