I learned on a 3m PRv2, at ~65 kg, 66l midlength, and Armstrong 780 foil. I was super happy learning on that size in the gorge. The 3m covers the gorge's version of light to moderate days.

I'm on a 66 L, which is about my weight when I'm geared up. The emissary was a step change for me, coming from a 5'x24" 75 liter board. I like to ride the smallest wing/parawing I can get away with. I can easily use a size smaller wing now. There's no hard push to transition from hull speed to planing/foiling, it just accelerates until I lift off. I haven't ridden other midlengths though. Maybe I'd be as smitten with them, too.
One downside; it immediately looked dinged up. I'm careful with my gear, and have no idea how it happened. The performance is unaffected though, it's just kind of a bummer when a beautiful and expensive board looks dinged up after one or two sessions.
