I had not used AFS previously and on first go with Silk V2 950 am surprised how forward in boxes the mast is on my Armstrong 75l ML and my front foot pressure still feels light. Is this normal?
It depends very much of what your are used to, how much frontfoot you like and the box positioning.
I,m coming from a wavesailing background so like a bit of frontfoot. With my SuperK 2 The mast is also quite forward.
I,m in Bretagne right now (holiday) and we drove today by at the AFS factory to pick up my Silk V2 1050. I don,t know how those lads arrange that, but we arrived with lots of rain and no wind, but when I said that we drove to Crozon and hope to give it a try the weather cleared up, sun started to shine and a 17nopts of wind with fun but not too big waves came through.
First impression: very much like story as with the 850 v2:
its same or maybe a tiny bit earlier to get on foil as the V1, serious faster, waaaay more glide while still turning great. I am in love with them straight away.
I'm thinking about what's next from my AFS Evo's and have tried an Enduro 1100 (with chopped tips) but from what you and others are saying in here about the Silk v2 it sounds like it's faster and turns better, and has way better glide than the v1 and even better glide than a similar sized enduro?
