Epic stuff Creek!
At the start, is it the ghost or up and assume twin fins?

Thanks greatsup!
It is the Ghost 8'10 with twins and a 3.6" trailer.... the Ghost works better with the trailer when running the Twin Fins... seems like smoother power.
The Ghost Up is perfect in small/medium waves with just the Twin Fin setup.... even with a bit of juice.

Congrats on the latest video ,and still surfing very well at 78.With all the fuss about twin fins of late,I’m curious as to why Bert /Sunova haven’t done a specific twin sup! …..or is on the drawing board ?……and I absolutely loved the sound track,a very unique Sound great choice ,has me searching for more of there work, take care cheers JAW.

Hi mate, Starboard are dropping a new longboard type twin soon according to their social media, might be worth a look. They also added a few new sizes to their TwinFin line up, the new 8'6x31 134 ltr has caught my eye.

I would love the guys at Sunova to have a look at the new Thunderbolt surf HIBT 3+3, a surfboard that can be either a quad or twin with the plugs set in the right place for each. And what looks really interesting is running it as asymmetric setup, I twin fin on your toe side rail for pivot and a quad setup on your heal side for drive and hold. I love to try that setup.

Cheers.

Steve.

Hi Rick, as always your videos inspire us to keep fit and stay in the water.

I try to sell the idea of sup surfing to the older prone surfing guys around here that are struggling to catch waves and get to their feet. Most are set in their ways, I tell them you look you up and see how much fun they could still be having.

Cheers.

I've done a lot of googling but can't seem to find any proper resource for determining which size board for sup surfing.
I'm 86kgs just under 6' 60yrs old, pretty decent shape, surfed longboards all my life, wing foil etc & currently have a 10'6 x 32 170L which I'm paddling trying to get onto knee to waist high waves.
I find the 10'6 a bit of a struggle to turn to get into position to catch waves so wondering if a smaller board would assist.
What size board would you recommend for someone transitioning to sup surfing.
I'm not after performance so much, I'm all about the glide... Any help appreciated. I'd be looking at second hand boards at this stage.

HI mate, I see a Sunova Casey Revo in your future 😀

I'am 98kg 6'3 and 59 years and a life long surfer. I have the Casey Revo in the 10x30 139lt and its a board I will never let go.

It will catch and glide in to the smallest wave, and will still get you into the biggest wave you would want to paddle into.

When I first brought it I knew it would catch anything going, but I did not expect it to have the second and third gears it has. It's like two boards in one, the front half gets you into wave early, even if they are tiny. And the back half of the board will let you do full round house cutbacks when the waves open up. You can guide through flat spots, and pump down the line if you need to. If I could only have one SUP it an easy choice the Revolution is it.

You being a little smaller than me might find the 9 foot boards a little easier to manage.

Cheers.
