1050 V2 with USurf 150 feeling really good, keeps going forward in my tracks. Almost done dialling it in. Got on the 750 with USurf 120 the other day and it was awesome. Also keeps going forward in my tracks but getting it to where it needs to be. The V2 whip around so smoothly. Feels are just more smooth and predicable than V1. I feel like once I find perfect mast placement it will really be next level of fun:

Im still figuring out position in the tracks too, but its at least an inch forward of the v1s and enduros and maybe closer to 1.5".

I agree, way farther forward than what I was expecting. I also think maybe the new fuselage geometry is required. As I've seen myself breach the stabilizer a few times. The V2 seems to stabilize itself at the surface but that leaves the tail to breach easily in an aggressive maneuver. New fuselage geometry drops the stabilizer down farther keeping it out of the flow from the front foil and deeper in the water. I have my eye on the new titanium one, but that thing is $$$

I don't like the UG41 on my E1300. I find not enough low end and stick with the HA43 long position on the short fuselage. I just got the USURF150 and used with my E1600 and it felt really good. I exclusively use the UG41 with the Ultra 750 only.

Was sent the 1050 by accident but am being allowed to try as I wait for 1150. Should get on it today and have some feedback vs V1.
1050 V1 & V2 for your pleasure:

I'm 85kg without gear and ride the Dragonfly V1 7' 19" 100L

Using a high aspect foil and longer mast will help dampen the roll side to side.
The main technique to better control the board is have 70% of my weight on my back foot. Drive with back foot and also bend over a little to keep your weight lower. Also try and stay pointed into the chop until ready to attempt take off. Over time your balance will get better as you learn to bounce around with the board and use the Parawing to keep balance. You can pivot the board pretty quickly off your back foot, think having the board at a 15% nose up angle. This will also help take off faster as you power up the Parawing and transition your weight forward and will create more pop.

A couple observations as I'm feeling these foils out (750/950 with 1050 or 1150 coming). Caveat that I'm mixing in some new tails too which is a secondary variable to confuse things.

these foils are far more efficient than the silk v1 and enduro. Once you are on foil they are faster and just feel smoother through the water. Very noticeable difference in feel. This is the biggest improvement - more efficiency than the enduro and similar roll to the silk v1.

the foils do pump with more drive than the v1s. 750 v2 pumps easier than the 850v1 and the 950 v2 pumps easier than the 1050 v1.

I've seen discussion saying the low end of these foils is dramatically better than the v1 silks but I'm not sure I agree. I'm not finding the same low end in the 950 v2 as I had in the 1050 v1.

the foils either ride more back footed than the v1 and enduro, or they want to be ridden further forward in the tracks. I'm riding them further forward than the enduro and v1 both of which I rode in a similar position.

overall very happy with these and finding that they have replaced both the v1 and enduro for me.

What stabs are you using ?

The low end of the V1 1050 with 152 is pretty insane. You're basically stopped before it wants to drop off foil.

I have V2 1150 and USurf 150 hopefully coming this week.

Thanks all ... first PW so I probably just need to go with the site recommendation of 30cm and see how that works, then go from there.

As far as the referral it may be because I am not a new customer ... I bought kites, the original clouds, way back when ... long ago.

Yes, need to be new customer.

What harness line length is suggested? I'm 5'10" and hooking in from waist.
Also, anyone have issues getting the 5% discount to apply? I have a referral code applied and a 4.2 in my cart but no dicsount showing up, even at checkout.
Thanks
Tony

I prefer super short at 20cm. I'm 5'11" 185lbs

Learned something about Greg's harness line. I bought the 30cm. It's ok, but a little short. So I thought I'd just sew my own. I have everything to make an identical one. But then I noticed something when getting ready to sew my own Dyneema loops. My line is soft and floppy. Turns out, Greg has taken those tiny plastic rods he uses on his parawing and put it in the core of his dyneema rope to make the harness line loop stay open for the hook. You would never know this as first look. When you get to touch one of Greg's harness lines, flick it with your finger and you'll feel it. Feel the looped ends of his line without the rods inside, it's super obvious then.

Ya, makes the 20cm super easy to get in and out. I would consider it a rigid harness line.

S3 5.3m low end report. Low end is decent and you can definitely pump it up. The challenge is keeping tips off the water as this super lightweight material will stick to the water and take the Parawing down. Also a challenge to jibe in light wind but should get that sorted out as big Parawing technique improves. I am used to my Ka'a 4.2m as my light wind Parawing and this is a totally different beast. Line length is going to take some getting used too. Makes stow/relaunch difficult in light conditions. I would only recommend this to seasoned riders looking for a large Parawing. I think it would be difficult to learn on.
Was out in 8-14 kts with my KT 7' 19" 100L and AFS E1600 rider 85kg.

Also seems to have a pretty hard cutoff after reaching the limit of the high end as you can only depower so much.

All other aspects are pretty amazing as other reports have suggested.

Ozone's work great:

So in the event yr caught out in 25 knots with yr 5.3, theres no way to move the harness line further forward, you just pull hard on end of the bar for max depower?

I had the S3 5.3m out yesterday in 20-25 KTS and it is basically not ridable full depowered so really does not matter where harness line is. Just too much power and too hard to control. You're basically holding on for dear life. In comfortable condition this harness setup felt great. I ordered a BRM version to test against but seemed close enough to the sweet spot to work fine. FYI fully depowered you're holding the front of the shovel and not pulling in at all.

Received my S3 5.3m the material is crazy light. Packs down as small as my old V1 4m! Also confirmed the shovel handle will work with winter gloves.

Email from Greg at BRM:

Aloha! Hope your 2026 season has been going great! We want everyone on this email list to get the news first that new BRM gear will be launching next week. A crazy amount of work went in. We're so stoked to feel that so many things aligned and have taken our parawing experience to the next level. For me personally, the amount of parawing gear launched lately feels overwhelming. There's no desire to add to the noise. So, I hope that you'll see with the new gear that our focus has been only on what elevates the riding experience. We're working on more info to share on the BRM site and social in the coming days and weeks. And we'll email again when the new gear launches. Thank you, Greg
