I finally got to try my new GoFoil Integrated mast and the waves were perfect for it… 3’ BoxHead with the rights being as good as the long lefts… incoming tide with no wind and pretty well had it to myself all morning…
As with everything foiling there’s always the adjustment period of trying something new and different ....and with this new mast I was going back to an 80cm Fusion mast from my 85cm with a Zip Pod
After a few breaches getting use to the shorter mast I thought this feels pretty lively and loose but would I spend the dollars on an Integrated mast when a Zip POD or the new FD Pod feels exactly the same???
Anyway where it really came alive and I noticed a massive difference was when I went in and changed from my Max battery to my Sport battery… I hate using this term because the whole foiling fraternity loves to over-use but gee it was fricken slippery… Love it and if you can afford an Integrated mast buy one but if you’re on a budget a Zip POD or FD Pod does the same job plus you have the flexibility of moving your pod on the mast…
