Just got my hands on a couple of boards via Mobz at Jim's windsurfing. We're not getting much wind here in WA at present but this a video on first few runs on the Morph board. Will do further video once we get some wind and hopefully try the Warby.

Interesting test..Keen to see more.

Yeah i saw a youtube review of the new Moto and it looks nice, but having an open boom cutout is a no go for me. I wish they still made the OD's, coz i just switched onto them when they stopped making them.

I hadn't thought about that. No wonder they fill with water quickly. I don't use my 7.2m in choppy deep water these days .Its almost beyond my strength to drain it and uphaul or waterstart .
I wish I hadn't sold my 7m Turbo. Light , didn't hold water and rotated effortlessly like a RAF sail.

I had a similar problem recently with another courier.

I have a separate debit card for certain online transactions, and it only holds a balance for the expected amount.

When I received their email I responded with:
I measured item correctly 3 times.
Sent photos, dimensions were not shown though
Advised I paid with debit card so any further debit would fail
Advised I would report any additional charge to my financial institution as fraudulent
Asked them to supply me their evidence (given they asked me for mine)

They replied and explained how couriers measure accurately with precise equipment and explained why differences can occur (all plausible) but did not keep evidence because it was too costly timewise.
They informed me they would not apply extra charge in this instance.

It would be interesting to know if they attempted to do so but failed (and why they then sent me email to notify of extra charge.
A bit of extra trouble on my part but I already had a specific debit card for online purchases

I regularly send framed artworks to customers.
My courier Aramex has just changed the way it works out the area. It now goes H (m) x W ( m) x L ( m) x 250 = cubic weight . It now costs more but is still economical.
Maybe this is what is happening with the boards and Ego?

Who else out there has had extra charges charged to their card, for supposedly incorrect dimensions, yet you would swear that you measured the box correctly?

I've had terrible results with Ego (hunter express). It relates to extra dimension charge they charge your card with after the initial booking charge.
It's typically $10-15 on a $100 sail box. You think not worth worrying about and let is side, yet you were sure you measured the dimensions correctly.

THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN - only this time you took photos of the dimensions, allowed an extra 1cm and where present when they picked them up.

There were 3 sail boxes, all the same height and width, just the length was different. One box went through ok, one was out by 0.5cm and the other by 3cm! (Width)
I complained. Provided photos – I even got the receiver to take measurements and photos, to verify the measurements
Got the generic letter back, stating that that two of the boxes were out of specifications and that’s why you were charged extra
I provided photos of measurements before and after delivery, but no response.

YOU HAVE NO COME BACK ON THEM. They don’t want to know you and you have no way of holding them accountable.

Who knows would happen if there was a damage issue – even with insurance.
I no longer use them, I go to my local courier and get them to measure the box.

A year ago I had someone take a charge off my credit card a month after I sent something with them.
I suspected staff fraud , reported it to the bank, and got it taken off my credit card. Maybe if it had happened within a few days I would have paid it.

Bringing your wind sport gear while travelling around Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy is like a Swiss tourist bringing their ski gear on their trip to Australia.

Upon reaching north coast Italy I felt this comment, yes, lots of places you are better off doing something else Europe has to offer which OZ does not. Those beaches were for swimming (as are SO many beaches over there). Lots of umbrellas and I was feeling way out of place as the only one with windsports gear among the throngs of people at Lignano Sabbiadoro. After sussing out where was allowed to sail I got out a few times for some decent sessions and met another winger.
Tried a Tuscany spot, Lake Bilancino. It was quite but a bit tricky getting to the water. Awesome to see all kinds of cool motorbikes railing around street corners of Mugello when there was a en event on.
Garda was sweet, a stormy week ment good north winds every morning and the place relatively quiet.
We'd borrowed a motorhome and had no dramas getting into a camper stop right at Torbole.
Walchansee in Germany was holiday time as hot AF, it was a drama to find parking near launch spot. Beautiful light north winds when there. Also some epic motorbike riding in the mountains there. Crew sending footpeg sparks around corners fun to watch and film.

I had ten sessions all up. I traveled underweight with NP Fly2 5.4 wing and Axis HPS 980, harness leashes tools etc. When arriving in Germany I made a post on a German wing foil Facebook page asking to buy a board. A member of the group made me a deal to buy back his Virus 85ltr mid length after 6 weeks. €950 and he bought back for 650. He lent me a 5.4mm steamer which I was very thankful for heading out for those epic Garda Pelèr 6am sessions when most the place is still sleeping. I put a hole in the board and he was cool about it so I gave him a scooter as bonus. And he gave me good German beer.

Hiring would have been hard for a few reasons so I'm glad I did it this way. It was as cheap as it's going to get and I had the freedom to sail whenever without long term hire stuff sitting around.
Getting around and grabbing hire gear at the spot on foot, scooter, or motorhome was a mission I was happy to avoid in the busy places.
It's all much busier than most of Oz.

So good to get out there and find out all water users there speak the same language as home, yeeeew! Yeeeha! Oi! All met with smiles sharing the stoke.

I was wondering how the damaged board changeover would go..😀

Quick How-to video:

OK. I've got the colours I want ,how do I get an image of it to post to the Gpstc?

I would suggest change to "Compact View" mode and take a screenshot (prtscrn button on a windows PC) then just paste it into the post.

Compact View is a layout that was specifically designed to be nice to screenshot.

OK. Thanks. I'll try that next time we get wind.

Nice feature for the user to be able to change colour, but I do like looking at other peoples tracks with default colours as I know straight away what I'm looking at when I see red (speed) blue (nauti) and so on.

I mainly wanted the 5 x 10s yellow so you could see them.🙂

If you want to learn freestyle you need an ~80L freestyle board or smaller at your weight.

But then they wouldn't have the same versatility in chop or riding comfortably in speed..I think

RS2000, from what Obelix has just said, it would be helpful if you could post a video of yourself sailing. Also video your gear. How you have rigged it. eg: How high you have set your boom ?, using a seat or waist harness ?, how you have set your sail ?, and on what type of sail ?, base track position ?, the fin you are using ?, how you have setup your straps ? etc. So we can all ascertain your current style and skill level, and the water state you are sailing in for 17-21 kt. Asking on a forum with writing only is a bit like the 3 blind men and the elephant. A video will give a lot more description.

Hiw can I upload videos
There are options only for photos

Just copy/paste the video's URL into the body of the message, and the forum software will embed the video into your post.

I also want to say, Windsurfing is a human-in-the-loop sport. I have a ended up developing a front footed/lines back style, and run smaller than recommended fins due to shallow and weedie spots I use. My style really suit's JPs FSW boards. But, I'm not sure what your style is ?, or even if it has fully developed yet. If you use an incompatible rig with the JP FSW range, it will be a horrible experience. A video will answer a lot of questions about your rigging and style, and the water condition at your local.

Thanks a lot
Video is coming

But I cant copy the video it says unsupported file .if you can help me again it would be nice .

Are these photos of the conditions you will be sailing in or at the windier location on holidays?

Two cameras. Seriously. One on each side of the boom, either at the tail or at the head.

Harness mount - it sticks out backwards at 60 degress (from horizontal), can use a go-pro but IMHO a 360 cam is better.

Mast mount pointing towards the nose of the board - Ben Proffitt uses this a lot.

Firstly will the harness mount work with a non 360 camera and which one do you use.

Whizmount..great with a Go Pro. I haven't used mine for a while. I have the hero 9 and on the wider view its great to capture the whole of the board . It still shows the chop and doesn't flatten it to a millpond like the 360 cameras do.
I don't know if you can still get the Whizmount but it's like a camelback mount.
The harness mount they mention.
You still need to be aware its there beachstarting .I've never damaged my gear but I am careful.
