Supply and demand like everything in life. If an assist company can sell 20,000 to 25,000 assist a year, I am sure they would come down in price.
Many of the parts on the Surron are mass produced, Shocks, brakes, rims, etc. which cuts down R&D costs.
Also lets see how long that Surron last once you ride it through the sea.
If I had a guess you would probably see the BOM cost of a Surron close to an assist, that would tell you why each one is priced the way they are priced.
I mostlty agree AC, except the Surron and Evo Efoil at 9K are complete and ready to ride. The foil assists still need board$ and foil$ added.
