Herron Point, WA June 9, 2024 on very high tide WNW. Intention was to film Boz, Dan and Slowy but Boz and Dan insisted on either chugging or going way over other side 5km away which was too dangerous in this wind for the drone to get back. At time stamp 1:43 it appears Slowy looses his hat but was really a board, fin and hat change. The last frame with the hat on he was 2 1/2 km from launch spot going away fast which meant a long upwind slog back for the drone. In addition, at low altitudes I was also getting frame breakup so I turned around and took 40% of battery to get back. The next frame where there was no hat was just after he launched with gear change and he agreed not to go so far out to be safer for the drone. The video was just a quick edit in chronological order with more repetitive bits cut out to make watchable. Try to watch on big screen if you can.
