Here at Worthing Watersports, we are proud to have Jenna Gibson and Simon Pettifer as Team riders. Both Jenna and Simon are also sponsored by Duotone Windsurfing. They recently went on an enormous adventure to the south of Africa. Driving for over 10 hours north of Cape Town to Louis in Namibia. To compete in the world speed Windsurfing competition on the man-made trench. This world-famous trench is very dangerous due to its narrow widths and the high speeds at the wind surface travels. This location is chosen due to its high wind strength allowing the wind surface to go very fast. The world record has been broken at this location multiple times in the past and it was Jenna and Simon's turn to give it a go. Having spent 2 1/2 weeks there, Jenna broke the women's world windsurfing record multiple times. And is now the fastest female Windsurfer in the world for Peek and over 500 meters on average. During this Q&A interview with Simon and Jenna, we find out a little bit more about the location and other spots local to the speed trench. Sam, the owner of Worthing Watersports, also quizzed them on their equipment choices, including fins sales and Boards used.
