In this DIY video a home-built custom freeride windsurfing board is transformed with innovative cutouts! A step-by-step process of adding cutouts is demonstrated, which aims to enhance the performance of the board by reducing drag and increasing speed on the water. Using a router, the bottom of the board is carefully shaped to create precise cutouts. Watch as the board is reinforced with high-quality composite materials like epoxy, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and a divinycell core to ensure durability and performance. The pvc core and epoxy lamination was done in a 2-step vacuum bagging process. In addition to adding cutouts, the board also received a new paint job, a new non-skid finish, and upgraded foot pads for improved comfort and foot angle. Whether you're an avid windsurfer or a passionate DIY board builder, I hope this video provides some inspiration and tips on making your own board upgrades!
