email: [email protected] This is my Raven 26, it's a classic NZ fiberglass production boat. First designed in 1969, and this one was built in about 1977. This is a Mark 2 (which has fiberglass deck instead of plywood) and cockpit drains built into the hull (rather than via seacocks) I have done some serious sailing on this boat, many trips around the Hauraki Gulf and Northland East Coast, and in 2020 solo to Wellington (through 2 gales) cruising The Sounds and Able Tasman then back up the West Coast. The engine, prop, and all through hull fittings have been removed. It would be very difficult to sink this boat, even if you wanted to! I replaced the rigging (UHMWPE "dyneema") and windows (6mm polycarbonate) in 2019. The mainsail has 3 reef points, with genoa, working jib and heavy jib, plus spinnaker and spare mainsail. It heaves to pretty well using the main with 3 reefs, and there is a seabrake brand sea anchor. Very nice dinghy, with sailing rig, and small kayak. This one has a rare internal layout for a raven 26, with double bed opposite the galley. Composting toilet, so no plumbing to deal with or valves to change. Many of these have been up to the islands and across the pacific. I would totally do that in this boat, but I have a new boat now. I'm looking for someone who wants to sail Cleo.
