Centre for Independent Studies Director of Energy Research Aidan Morrison says it is "quite simply not true" to allege there is a massive amount of market interest in investing in renewable energy. "At the moment, a lot is being made of there being some sort of huge pipeline, this kind of massive amount of market interest in investing in renewable energy," Mr Morrison told Sky News host Peta Credlin. "That is quite simply not true. "At the moment, there is just no private interest in backing any sort of renewable energy development on its own two feet." Mr Morrison claimed he had been unable to find "a single example" of a major project which did not rely on backing from either a state or the federal government.
