Maui has a south shore… who knew? Sheltered from the northern swells, it is a far less intimidating run. It gets wind though… a lot of wind! The way that the island is, the wind gets compressed and funnelled through between two mountains. This creates a strong wind and you can start with zero fetch and be in ridable bumps within a few humdred meters. I didnt know how big the bumps would get or how long the run actually was… in fact i didnt know much of anything seting out on this one . Luckily i was with some good people who showed me the way! The run ends up being as long as the Maliko in distance which is kinda crazy and excellent!! By the end of this one the bumps had good size and power and i found myself completly powered up by the end. I was actually overfoiled for the last few miles.
