Race day! But this is race 3? Well yes. I have the other races coming but it’s not easy sorting through the footage… so this is the order we have. I’m enjoying the races, I didn’t think I would. I thought racing might be to stressful for me and my drive to be the best ish. But. I’m taking it all as I comes, and not too seriously. My thinking is, if I do well then it was because that’s how it went… and if I do badly then , that is how I performed… I’m not going to beat myself up over it. I would have beaten myself up over it in the past though. So that is a sign of some healthy growth. My old suffering from such would have been that, I had known I could have performed great if all aligned. That I have moments of greatness along the way but I’m often the only observer of such moments! Easy when you’re your own critique I guess, or not so easy. We are our own witnesses. That’s often why I’m hard on myself. I see all the good and bad stuff behind the scenes… in my mind and in my own actions. Trick shots made, arguments that never manifested… road rage, never released… the things that go on in my head… also acts of kindness that never got witnessed, love unexpressed. I mean worlds within worlds right? Anyway… I’m able to enjoy a race day currently. Adding to it my presents and energy and if nothing else, being a number that others can beat! I’m getting older and wiser… and more appreciative of all experiences. Trying to live my best live and enabling those around me to also hopefully live there’s.
