One of the oldest known problems to me of Subaru is the engine mounts in second hand cars. This one is around 18 years old and had started to destroy its CV shafts in only a matter of less than 500km of driving because of the engine and transmission mount rubber decay. All three mounts (two engine and one transmission, but not the engine steady top mount) were replaced and with the transmission mount, a Whiteline rubber bush insert was put into a new main transmission torque suppressor mount (kdt956) for Subaru manual transmission. This allows use of cheap CV shafts by more rigid anti torque to prevent CV shaft violent loaded transmission torsion vibration.
