I’ll walk you through every component of this setup, explaining how SABFOIL has redefined their construction to achieve greater performance, rigidity, and hydrodynamic efficiency. What You’ll See in This Video 🔹 Unboxing the Blackbird Balz 905 full carbon foil I start by opening up the box and showing the new Blackbird front wing, part of the premium line that builds on the success of the Kraken system. You’ll see how it looks, how it feels, and what’s new at first glance. 🔹 Exploring the new monoblock construction This is one of the biggest innovations: the fuselage and stabilizer are now a single full-carbon piece. No more aluminum! I show how the front wing connects seamlessly into the fuselage, creating a continuous hydrodynamic profile both above and below. This reduces turbulence and increases lift and early takeoff, giving smoother transitions and more glide. 🔹 Hands-on look at the stabilizer and rigidity system We’ll see how the stabilizer connection has been redesigned with machined grooves to ensure an extremely tight and rigid fit. Using two M6 bolts, the stabilizer locks into place perfectly, resulting in a super-stiff, responsive setup — something every foil rider will appreciate. 🔹 Hydrodynamic improvements and lift performance I’ll show in detail how the front wing’s profile now “continues” into the fuselage, adding surface area and improving water flow. This means earlier lift, better glide, and increased stability even at lower speeds. 🔹 New Blackboard front wings and stabilizers We’ll also take a look at the Blackbird Balz family: available in 805, 905, and 965, each with matching stabilizers (385, 365, 345). These combinations allow riders to fine-tune their setup for different wind and wave conditions. 🔹 EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW – Razor 977 prototype 👀 You’ll see a first look at the upcoming Razor 977, an evolution of one of SABFOIL’s most appreciated front wings. It’s not even on the market yet! I share my first impressions after a quick session with it using Foil Drive in ultra-light conditions — the glide and pumping ability really surprised me. 🔹 The new ultra high-modulus carbon masts with wood core SABFOIL also released new 85 cm Blackboard masts built with an ultra-high modulus carbon layup and wood core, designed to enhance stiffness and vibration absorption. I show how the mast connects to the Blackbird fuselage and to the Kraken plate system using traditional M8 bolts. 🔹 Compatibility & retrofit options This part is super important! SABFOIL has ensured that many of your existing Kraken masts will be compatible with the new Blackbird fuselage, meaning you can upgrade only the airplane section if you already own a mast. The same goes for stabilizers — you’ll see how SABFOIL designed an aluminum tail fuselage that allows you to reuse your older stabilizers, maintaining backwards compatibility across systems. 🔹 Full carbon weight & construction details I’ll also weigh the parts and highlight how light and stiff this setup is compared to aluminum versions — the Blackbird full carbon fuselage and stabilizer combo feels incredibly light in hand, promising excellent responsiveness on the water.
