
Over the last months I’ve been testing different @TripleSevenKites parawings trying to understand how these wings actually perform. In this video I test the upwind capabilities of the PT-Skin 5.4, PT-Skin 4.0 and PT-Hybrid 4.3 using real GPS data and VMG analysis. We’ll break down: – GPS tracks – TWA (angle to the wind) – SOG (speed over ground) – VMG (velocity made good) The goal here is to understand how these parawings generate performance in different wind ranges and riding styles. One of the most interesting takeaways was seeing how the PT-Hybrid, once properly powered, shifts the whole VMG envelope toward much lower angles while maintaining very high speeds. And honestly… once you visualize what a 1 kn VMG difference means over a one-hour run, things start becoming very real.
