2.4mR Class World Championship 2010 began on 19th September in Hoorn, Holland. Day one saw wet weather with temperatures struggling to reach 12 degrees as people arrived in droves for a practice race, which was planned for day two. The scheduled practice race went ahead as planned despite the fact that the weather hadn't changed, and had, if anything, gotten worse. At 1pm the sailors left the harbour in winds of 18 to 24 knots, in what was a perfect start. Only two boats got an OSC. 31 boats finished the practice race with Sweden's Stella Berlin ...
