Oscar Haumann and Taus Holtug of Denmark (2, 11, 2) are the leaders after day 1 of the 2010 29er World Championships.

They lead Pepe Bettini and Fernando Gwozdz of Argentina (9, 4, 3) by one point. Ga?l Jaffrezic and Julien Bloyet (FRA) are third (1, 7, 13).

Sailing on the 29er course held just east of the 49er course was quite challenging with shifting winds. Bettini remarked 'we had a huge lead and next thing we're in sixth. It's challenging sailing.'

Racing continues tomorrow in both classes with 3 races scheduled for all.
