Barcelona World Race update from Hugo Boss skipper Alex Thomson. Today Alex Thomson was ready to take the next step towards joining his boat HUGO BOSS after a week of recovery in Barcelona, following his emergency appendectomy last week. He will be travelling home to the UK today to finish his recuperation, and begin his ?race to the race? all over again. Alex underwent surgery just 48 hours before the 90 day round the world Barcelona World Race which began on the 31st December, without Alex onboard his boat HUGO BOSS.
