'Summer Sailstice - time for everyone to join in' .
Sailors around the northern hemisphere are currently making plans to celebrate the sailing lifestyle by sailing 'together' on, June 18th, the weekend closest to the summer solstice. Such a thing is unlikely to succeed in Australia as mid-summer here is too close to Christmas celebrations. But hey it's pretty warm in winter - maybe we could celebrate a winter Sailstice and even qualify for the prizes! As an idea, it's a grand one.
