Plastiki, the catamaran made of recycled plastic that is sailing across the Pacific Ocean to draw attention to the surfeit of plastic in the world, arrived in New Caledonia this week for what is scheduled to be its last port call before its final destination of Sydney, Australia. While in New Caledonia, the Plastiki's crew, headed by environmentalist and adventurer David de Rothschild, will prepare for what the crew expects to be a rough final leg after more than 100 days at sea.
