Velux 5 Oceans Blogpost from Christopher Stanmore-Major The bowsprit tack fitting which holds the forward lower corner of the spinnaker to the boat broke late last night and the ensuing chaos saw my Code 5 kite ripped in two, the boat crash gybed and six long hours of back breaking work putting it all right. The precursor to the night's main event was a crack and the sound of a very unhappy kite flogging. I popped on deck and was greeted by a sight I could have done without.
