A year in the life of Ewan Jaspan, Aussie pro kitesurfer

Ewan Jaspan is one of Australia's most promising young kiteboarders - he's only 17 and is already one of the best riders around, not only in Victoria, but all over Oz.

Check out the movie below, from Woodies in WA to his home town of St Kilda in Melbourne - Ewan's been ripping it up all year. With a powerful mixture of new-school handle pass tricks, and old school boosts and kite loops - his kiteboarding style is second to none; when combined with the trusty GoPro camera - you get an awesome video like this one...

Make sure you watch closely around the 1:30 mark - where Ewan sends his kite and gets some great aerial shots of the beachside suburbs. He's seriously high here, 10-15m up at least.

Look out for Ewan at the PKRA event in December this year - he's coming up to the gold coast to pit his skills against the best in the world - he might not be in the running for the title (that's already been decided), but he's sure to cramp Youri Zoon's style.

The move allowed the shop to expand into other watersports like stand-up paddling and wakeboarding, as well as beachwear and toys. Across the road from the store is Pelican park and Bells beach, which are the perfect locations for flying kites and practising all kinds of watersports...
