There are many types of wave - the most recognisable by non-boaters may be the Queen's Royal wave, but none of the arm-throwing movement's cause powerboaters too much issue out on the water. To the average person on shore, we may not understand that waves come in many forms and require a change in driving style to deal with them correctly at race speed.
