Fire on board at Pittwater

NSW Maritime has reported a vessel caught fire on Pittwater at 10.30am on Tuesday.

The vessel reportedly sunk after apparently catching fire around 2am.

No one was aboard at the time.

The vessel's owner, who had last been aboard the previous evening, advised the vessel carried about 400-litres of fuel.

Broken Bay Water Police and Hazmat attended the blaze and brought the matter under control.

Retrieval of the sunken craft is under way.
