It's only two weeks (June 26/27) to round two of the 2010 Offshore Superboat Championships scheduled for Mackay, North Queensland and race crews and their workshop teams are busy preparing boats and engines. At the Gold Coast headquarters of the Maritimo Offshore Race team, it's not only Maritimo boats being readied for the racing; the 'Qatar 96' boat that will be crewed by Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor Al-Thani (driver) and Steve Curtis, MBE (throttleman) is being fine-tuned, while Tony Lowe's Melbourne-based catamaran 'Trojan Steel' is having new engines installed.
