Super Boats International heads to Clearwater Beach, Florida, this weekend for the second annual Clearwater Super Boat National Championships. National title races have been staged for almost 30-years, but this weekend marks the second successive occasion for the Gulf venue. As usual, crews expect and anticipate boisterous conditions to be thrown at them by the unpredictable Gulf of Mexico. Teams leading the championship will be battling to maintain their lead while those within striking range, only a few points off, can snatch the title thanks to this event which carries double points.
