A disturbing new report has found violent political rhetoric, including assassinations, is being increasingly accepted by many on the left. Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) published the report and found a growing number of people would justify and even celebrate a political assassination. The report found that people would applaud killing someone in the name of politics due to it being a form of social justice. The number of people in favour of killing a politician has grown particularly fast in the last few months. The report also focused on whether killing US President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk is somewhat justified. For the NCRI’s study, they surveyed over 1,200 adults that were weighted to reflect national census demographics, according to Fox News. The results were 38 per cent of those who were surveyed said it would be at least “somewhat justified” to murder Trump, with 31 per cent voting for Musk. When the poll only counted left-leaning respondents, the number rose to 55% voting in favour of Trump and 48% for Musk.
