Sometimes quality matters, sometimes not

I wouldn't trust the quality of this machine, even for home handyman use

Well you could try sharpening them, you're going to have to sharpen the blades from any machine if they're not tungsten tipped.

i got one for that price from masters .
Its slightly bigger but its only a thicknesser
& they sell replacement blades I've used it heaps & heaps would recommend that one for sure but if you do get you will want to consider dust extraction.
I recycle old timber from pulldowns of old awnings & its the paint that dulls the blades faster than just timber.I did notice a ryobi at bunnings & they had tungsten cabide replacement blades .
but maybe you want the planing with bevel feature

As for the planer, nearly all are based on a similar system, it's the power and the quality of the motor, however you can compensate and put less resistance on it by doing multiple passes, you'll get a better finish if taking 3mm off a piece of timber by doing 3 x1mm passes than 1x3mm pass, blades are pretty standard on the head/ drum, so you could upgrade which again lessens the resistance on the motor,
You'll get 12mths warranty anyhow

Buy it, use it for the job, take it back, tell them it is crap and get your money back. That is the way life works these days isn't it???

Can't comment on the quality of tools because I can't see the logic of buying them at ALDI and then going back for a warranty job a month later and they don't have any replacements.

I'd rather buy Ozito and grab a new one off the shelf if it breaks within 3 years. They are good enough for most of my use.

The crofton cookware, however, is very good quality.

I have an ozito hammer drill that doubles as a mini kango had it for 3 years and use it every day drilling concrete taking tiles of bathrooms etc its driven hard and is still going strong pretty good for $59 compared to 3-400 for Hilti makita or ramset
