I have a really good idea for an iPhone App. But stuffed if I am going to develop it.

Two questions;
Know any App developers?
What type of Royalty / Commission should I ask for...???

Your best bet:

elance.com
freelancer.com.au

But be aware, you need to be able to manage it and know exactly what you want and how you want it otherwise it can turn into a fiasco.

The App is really simple. It would involve the "camera". Software associated with understanding the images the camera sees.

So no fancy graphics, displays, etc. It just needs software "smarts".

A friend of mine users an Indian website which effectively works like an on-line auction....you put your specs out for what you want (do not tell them too much) and people will bid to do the job for you....can work out very cheap if u know what u want and have some idea of the specs etc. It's a good system for building websites as well. I can get you the details and PM them if u like.

And surely that person then sells the whole idea / all the code, everything, to the Indian / Chinese etc people who will undercut you if yours is successful???

Others are: rent-a-coder.com and Odesk.com. With Odesk.com you can see what your contract workers are doing on an houly basis, its very popular with online marketers doing outsource work.

A certain Buzz Lightyear lookalike knows how to write iPhone apps. Not sure if he's going to put his hand up to do another one though...

I heard everything that can was invented already.
What is app?
wait..
An app that people could present their 'wishlist' what actually app they need the most will be cool. They could also put a 'price' how much they are ready to pay. Then they have a discount 50% when it comes to the market.
ooo ... I guess ... I need to read that 1 line again myself....

That doesn't sound very simple. Honestly.

Give us a little more detail, without giving it away, and there are a few SeaBreezers that would be able to give you a rough estimate. At a glance it looks like it will be well beyond your online auction/sweatshop guys.

Have a read of some of the answers given on the problem of finding Waldo (I thought it was Wally?):
stackoverflow.com/questions/8479058/how-do-i-find-waldo-with-mathematica

I still reckon it's already been done. 99% sure. Honest.

my wishlist:
1.I wish to have app (+some hardware) that logs all the time wind speed at the top of the mast and imposed on real GPS speed or even relative to water speed.
2.Real time display device could be helpful too. Sort of efficiency indicator. could be visual or sound only with with sound frequency proportional to the difference (between wind speed and actual speed).. al-taught the simple mechanical omnidirectional whistle do the trick also
...sorry guys for interrupting.....i am not hijacking the thread...
