I have watched a lot sport and fights, but sorry, I have never ever seen anything as low, malicious, and cheap as what that low life criminal did yesterday. He should be banned from playing footie for ever.

Am an Eagles and AFL supporter, used to be right into it, but cant be bothered with either much anymore with the drama lama crap from the media who take sides at a whim. Me ol mate went down like a pole axed steer, reckon he will live to fight another day. Not condoning what he did, but its been in the game since its origin.
Bet if it was one of the "chosen ones" like Judd, Harvey, or what ever, the media would be busting Stakers profile something chronic. and moving their halo's in to prominent positions claiming its all Stakers fault.
Next load of wallop they will scream on about is "he (big bad Baz) has to make a statement, he just has too, why wont he, he must, he must".

buys i've played footy too and received and given a few as well, but there aint no excuse for that c+&^% from a pro athlete getting paid heaps in front on a national audience. if the guy can't handle an opposition team player doing what he is supposed to do then it's Baz that needs to HTFU.
i had to explain to my young kids why they saw that on the news - the real sad thing is, stuff like that gets shown on TV every day, but they shouldn't get used to seeing being dished out by a pro athlete (supposedly)
baz obviously has an anger management problem and should either HTFU or get professional help

A good brawl now and then is pretty cool to watch, and the world in general needs a barrel of HTFU.

But, a cheap shot like that, a punch when they're not looking or ready, thats low. At least give them some warning and be decent about it.

Spot on - but the differance being of course a professional athlete (and ex-boxer) is likely to hit 3x harder than a punter!

It's about time the AFL had a send off rule I reckon. Only to be used in extreme circumstances - such as this pathetic situation - where either very recklessly or deliberatly an opposition player is injured/attacked and has been unable to continue. The guilty player has to stay off for as long as the injured player. This means no advantage for this sort of thugery = no thugery. The bonus of this is at may hand an advantage of sorts, to the opposition team if it is wise to keep them off. All good, and would stop fkwits like Bazzerka in their tracks.

The Eagles would never have won that game the other night but Sydney's Neanderthal ensured his team was just going to have it just so much easier from the 1st quater on.

As for 'tough-footy', I'd prefer to see Baz run down the opposition....body-to-body combat....good shoulder bumps (elbows down), hard tackles, he'd get a little better response from the public than taking the easy way. In a fight, I'd say it was a perfect blow, great balance, aim, and sensational connection.....but he's supposed to be playing footy, and we want tough footy, not lazy/easy and ambush-like crap!

get off ya high horse wineman, there is no place in the new game of AFL for king hits during or behind play just shows that he cant get enough of the ball and loves the media attentionpoor form
