Yes, I have seen this one and the (...Item name..) was the give away. She sounded hot, Oceanographing in her bikinis and stuff, so I took the risk and sent her my details and life saving anyway.

I've just been contacted by dear old Debra the oceanographer...she wanted to buy my leather sofa that I have advertised on this classified app called OLX...
My email had the standard I'm out at sea blah blah....I think Deb's personalizing her scam emails now, the first couple of sentences (in a different font) had her apologizing for the delay and enquiring if the "leather sofa" (not the standard "item") was still for sale...
I remember getting the same scam email about 3-4years ago....it's the whole oceanographer away at sea line...why go into such elaborate and unusual detail....I don't want to tell these fraudsters how to do their job, but I fairly certain their success rate would dramatically increase if they kept it simple & said they were away on business, maybe ran a spell check....
also raises questions about how useful a 2.5meter vintage leather sofa would be to an oceanographer out at sea....
