Hey all,

Love Seabreeze, been using it for a while but first time I've used the forum. Seems to be alot of kiters/sailers/etc on here, but hoping a few boaties might be able to offer some advice.

I'm an experienced boatie in the Bay (Brisbane) however have never been outside of this area. General trips over to Tangalooma from the River, Mud Island, Peel Island etc.

I'm looking at heading further out to Flinder's Reef area for some fishing (unsure of the legality of fishing in this area, so if anyone knows, shout). Although it's still basically in the bay, i'll no longer be sheltered by Moreton Island. Can anyone offer any advice? Are the seas significantly bigger out there compared to the Bay? News reports tend to say 0.8m in the Bay but 1.5 offshore. Are they referring to some place such as Flinder's being 1.5m... or are they talking KMs out...

Secondly, in regards to Seabreeze... the wave heights on the Graph... where abouts are they measured from?

Cheers!

Wave heights are measured from some ficticious place that doesn't exist. If it did exist it would be populated by tiny tiny people with very very large tape measures who were all pathalogical liars.

Wind is measured from inside an artifical wind tunnel turned up to maximum. It is recorded by a sadist who had a very unhappy childhood and whose father windsurfed. This person now has deep psycological issues towards all windsurfers and gains perverse amusement from showing green things to people. Bit like a red rag to a bull really, but more of a green arrow to a sailor.

Bastards, I hate them all.
