Anyone been watching this on ABC2.(Friday 9.30pm). Once in a while something good comes out of the States. It's now in it's third season in the U.S. but has only just been picked up here.

ABC were smart to pick up this one, maybe the other networks weren't interested.
Have seen series 1 and 2 and must say I'm pretty hooked. Series 3 starts next month in the States.
Great show, mild mannered Science teacher turns into menacing meth lord.

Haven't seen this one, will have a look though.
Speaking of ABC2, next tuesday they start re-runs of "The Young Ones", wonder if it'll still be as funny? I think it will.
"av we got a video?"

I've watched a couple of episodes bit hard to pick up what was going on but soon got the drift....probably best show to come out of the USA in recent years, sick of NCIS kind of show unrealistic over the top.Great watching something from a different point of view.

I watched the third episode and managed to catch the second one on iview (or whatever the ABC call it), but I missed the first episode.

Some of the episodes seem to be a bit slow or not much happens. I think after seeing the second and third one, the next two have seemed a bit quiet.

Does it get better?

FN,
Re: "............seemed a bit quiet".....for me (anyway) that's the shows endearing quality. I understand it does speed (pun not intended) up somewhat as Davo has alluded to.

Setting "KEN WINS" beemer alight using the servo screen squeegee was a classic.

I have just become an ABC iView junkie.

Watched "One Red Blood" with David Gulpilil two hours before it got pulled off. The guy is a "National Treasure".

A while ago I downloaded and watched "Underbelly" and "Canal Road" from Nine's "Catch Up" TV. They had a bit of advertising for Honda?? which was tolerable but it was a piss off that they put a timer in the codec needed to play them that rendered them unplayable after going to the trouble of downloading it onto my computer.

My man made me watch the first series and it was certainly different...
Needless to say he was stoked to realize it was on air, even though Aus is a season behind.

I have resisted buying a digital box because in our area (Bundaberg) it does not yet get one any more content.[}:)]

Which ABC channel is Breaking Bad on, which day, and when do they add the episodes to IView.

Please pardon my ignorance.

Cisco,
i'll pardon your ignorance but I won't pardon your inability to read the first post of this thread

PS - iView have it literally straight after the show finishes on Friday night.

Some funny bits in tonight's program. For a change the sidekick doesn't get the brown stuff beaten outta him too.

Wonder if Martha Stewart will be along in the 2nd season for a bake-off?

It was a cracker. Shame it was the final for season 1. Hopefully ABC2 will get the second season on sooner than later.

Yeah it was a bit disappointing to find it was the last of the season last night.

I had finally stopped thinking of the lead character as 'Hal'.

Just watched the first and second episode of the first series tonight and it's got me in.

Got to disagree with you on the "Once in a while" statement though.

There is lot's of qual coming out of the US in recent times

Big Love - I'm in love with mormons
Dexter - lost me at the end of series two loved it up till then
True Blood - bring on the next one
Mad Men - love it, next one please SBS
Lost - same as Dexter
Weeds - same as Lost
Curb Your Enthusiasm - can't ever get enough
United States of Tara - Great
Six Feet Under - please please can I have some more

==
Watched some of the Young Ones last year and was really disappointed - some comedies age well, like good wine, some don't - Young Ones fell into the latter category for me

TV Gorge is great for those who have good broadband but definition is not that great in full screen.

Gotta wait till near end of March for season three. What a b**ch.

They certainly get you primed for the next episode.

Season three is screening now in the US. I watched the first episode and it picks up well from the finale of season two.

We should think about what Walt is going through and try and support him in his time of need.

If you know of anyone who is wasting their life and needs a bit of a wakeup call, Walter can give them some advice from his blog.

It had a few people laughing.

My niece likes Dexter, I find it a bit weird though haven't sat down to watch it. Almost everyone who has watched a bit of Breaking Bad gets hooked. Its a great story but has become a bit soap operaish in the last couple of episodes.

Dexter looks very strange until you watch it through and it is strangely addictive. I can't even remember why I started watching it, but I am glad I did.

It sort of reminds me of League of Gentlemen in that seeing one episode might confuse you, but you gradually figure it out.
