Jesus Christ mass man!

Why the hell do we celebrate some dudes birthday who passed away years ago.......

It to me is a end of year nightmare.....what is so merry? Spend the rest of our hard earned cash on all the crap that comes with it...
I have $100 left from $800 I made from a garage sale and what do I have to show for it?

Beer, annoying to wrap presents, overpriced seafood.....airfares flying round to see family's....etc and for the Christmas rush try find a park down the shops today!

Merry Christmas

Scrudge

I'm over Xmas unless your a kid or have young kids its no fun. To much politics. To many people to try and please especially when it comes to inlaws. To the pr I ck on here (sorry different topic)that told his kids there's no Santa they'll thank you one day for ruining their Christmas as kids. Bugger the religious sh I te. There's nothing better knowing Santa is coming tonight when your a believer.
Merry Christmas to all

Just channel flicked to ABC news on 24. An elderly Aboriginal lady and a bunch of kids flashing up their surrounds with just every day junky bits that they had around the place in Camooweal Queensland.
She didn't have much, other than a huge abundance of enthusiasm, drive and good will, organising kids and local teenagers to help out jazzing up her place for all to see. Wished everybody in Australia Merry Christmas when the interviewed her. Half dozen or so kids also flashed past the screen wishing one and all Merry Christmas.
Now that's bloody Christmas for you, so those who want to sook and whine, and try as hell to take the joy out of other peoples merriment at this time of the year, those of you of this like, couldn't hold a candle to this lady. What a bloody gem of a person.

My kids spent the last couple of days MAKING presents for me, my wife and the grandparents. Give me a home made card instead of some crappy piece of plastic made in china any day. Apart from that, we got rid of presents for the adults years ago, and the kids even asked that we buy a goat for a family in Africa instead of giving them presents this year. Of course we still got them some goodies, but we certainly don't let the commericalism spoil Christmas in our house.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!!!

It'll all be worth it tomorrow sitting around and having good times with loved ones but I can see where you're coming from Southace.

Did most of my shopping early and it's still enough to make you want to sign up to be a Muslim.

2 days ago I would nearly agree with 'scrudge'. 30 of the wife's side lumbering on our doorstep tomorrow, with me working flat-out up until Friday with no time to prep for the onslaught.

Being the only family that live by the coast i decided to make an attempt at providing some seafood and beach fun for the ring-ins, so Saturday morn i dusted off the rods/reels and take the boat out. Picked up a nice gummy shark (flake), a few snapper and mowys for the bbq.

After a day of cleaning the fort yesterday awaiting the upcoming onslaught tomorrow, i woke up this morn and decided to try my luck on catching some fresh squid for a couple of hours... ended up with a bucket full of calamari for a few hour's quiet fishing off the rocks.

Got home, had lunch and noticed a bit of breeze so took to the beach with the big (ws) gear and had a 2hr awesome flatwater blasting sesh!

Kicking back now with a brew after taking the kids to see the 'Santa' concert at the shorefront.

Tomorrow - fresh fish and calamari on the bbq for the guests, followed by a wander down to the beach with a handful of sups, surfboards and boogie boards and esky...

I think I've been de-grinched!

Just finished wrapping presents, I am so over xmas already, took 10mins to find a parking spot in out small local Woolies carpark. My 4yo daughter is doing my head in with xmas carols. The only 3 good thing to come out of tomorrow is watching my daughters face opening presents . The second is that my partners dads back door of his house is the beach so, I walk out the back door, rig up, push into water. 3rd is the 4pm 17+knot winds (time to test out the 6m sail)

Merry Xmas all and a Happy New Year,
