Although not really the coolest way to be towed behind a boat, you gotta admit - this is pretty sick!

Could you use a kite with it?

had one for many years. back then the consecutive back roll count (10 years ago) was 1500 without stopping/ falling... just to give you an idea of how effortless they can be to get air. they are actually pretty easy. Got up on my first go. Feels like balancing on your chair on two legs at school. Just a bit limited in the amount of tricks. Backrolls and backflips were fairly easy, skidding on the foil, straight/ tweaked airs. I never could get front rolls down and back then that was about it. Only the top guys could do rotations or flip/ roll combos. If you don.t land straight, it's over.

remember seeing one here 18 years ago when I was wakeboarding, they used to call it the "air chair".

I had a go on one of the originals back in the 80's (man I'm old!). Wasn't a fan then, but I've also never been a fan of knee-boarding. Wake-boarding would have been ok, but that phase in my life has long passed.

I can see the application for a modified version for someone in a wheelchair that wants to experience water skiing?

a friend was learning with one 15 years ago, but it was called the surf-seat or ski-seat, something like that. after practice he had red red raw eyes from his eyelids getting peeled back over his forehead from so many faceplants
