I think Randy bumgardener and Wayne Kerr would have had a hard time at school, however they usually end up being science professors. Has anyone got names of actual people or towns they know of or have been to that are funny?

Richard Large worked for a client. I had a friend who would always give our receptionist a fictitious name like "Richard Small" when he rang, so I always had to be very careful not to assume it was my friend ringing an take the pss out of him.

I looked a few more up, notice most people with funny names usually end up in a high job position. Not such a bad thing in the long run in these peoples cases.

Dick Butkus - Middle linebacker, Chicago Bears

Dick Armey - Former US House Majority Leader

Isambard Kingdom Brunel - Chief engineer of the Great Western Railway

Dick Swett - US Ambassador to Denmark, 1998-2001

I've heard of a taxi driver called Wayne Car.

Found this one from England

A COUPLE have just realised their howler ? after naming their baby son Drew Peacock.

Shocked dad Russell only twigged when he put it in an internet search engine looking for famous namesakes, and was asked: Do you mean Droopy C**k?

The environmental health officer, 31, said: “It was as if I’d been smacked with a right hook.

“I can’t believe we’ve named our son ?Droopy C**k’.

“I started repeating ?Drew Peacock’ over and over again. Then I thought ? what have we done?

“I went numb and couldn’t speak for two minutes. Then I couldn’t stop laughing.”

"The son of a Yorkshire steamboat captain, Sir Thomas Crapper's (1836-1910) destiny was fixed when he was apprenticed to a master plumber at the age of 14. He owned his own plumbing shop in London by the time he was 25. Crapper was awarded nine patents for plumbing innovations during his lifetime, three of them consisting of improvements to the flushing water closet."

BTW - The Crapper family are locals here - Fisherman

Local councillor a few years back 'Richard Head' I met him whilst doing work experience with an Architect....He warned me early "Now I'm just letting you know, you'll be meeting a guy today whose name is Richard Head.....we all call him Dick.....now if you want to have a good laugh about it, you've got 2 hours to get it out of your system!"

'Ophelia Dicki' (dec.) was another local girl who had cruel parents!
