I was reading this article over lunch today on how to get better at something:
http://blogs.hbr.org/cs/2010/08/six_keys_to.html

and the interesting part for me was

Seek expert feedback, in intermittent doses. The simpler and more precise the feedback, the more equipped you are to make adjustments. Too much feedback, too continuously, however, can create cognitive overload, increase anxiety, and interfere with learning.

However, for most of us, we're not really watching each other that closely and so advice is hard to come by for anyone unless you're prepared to pay someone to specifically watch.
But, more and more people are using GoPro cameras now, which means that it's possible to post a short video of yourself and ask for advice. (Naturally you'd be running the gauntlet of "get a real kite", "wear bindings you kook" and "stop eating pies" comments that Seabreezers like to post!)

Any thoughts?

Thats the main reason I got a gopro, was so I could see what I was doing wrong. You don't even need expert feedback, as half the time what you are doing wrong is blindingly obvious once you see it on film.
