I know that I'm not the only one who enjoys giving the swan River blueys a crack over summer.

Been getting some absolute thumpers lately at my usual spots...

so that reminds me of my question.
I am wanting to snorkel for them and was told they are always in 1m or 3m or 2.15m or something and a certain time in summer is best.
Has been really sporadic when i have used dropnets off the jetty.

anybody with tips?

Definitely some big ones around....came across this guy just a few days ago while night diving in the river.


By far the biggest swimmer crab I have ever seen and the video doesn't do it justice.

Mark, they are out there....the best ones we've seen (been diving every second day) have been deep but there have been plenty within 3-4 metres, which is easy without scuba.

Been seeing lots of them mating and seen heaps of females carrying eggs.

We got our 10 each in 2 hours last week, plenty of fatties out there mate! Go hard
