This whole grumpy old men thing with the series on the ABC, and the 60 minutes program, how depressing

It's bloody me!!!!! I can relate to everything those grumpy old priks were talking about.

I've been getting worse every year, I'm now 45, and have just about got everything I've ever wanted............ and geuss what?.......................Have I been flooded with overwhelming joy and happiness, do I feel I exist in a Nirvanic state? ................ Of Course NOT!!!! "I feel grumpy all the time"

Is there anyone else afflicted with this malady, or are you all too young to be afflicted? Are there any young among you who would be considered grumpy young men?

yes, yes, its me too

hence the name

how can we have gotten ourselves into this state of anti Nirvana?

should we reject everything and throw away all our worldly goods and live in a cave by the beach?

Or should we just accept the fact that we ARE grumpy old priks and relish the fact that we have things to complain about!

personally the fact that some people on these forums are getting up before the sunrise and enjoying the early morning winds is ****ing me to tears. How can anyone enjoy that time of the day and then have the gall to tell us about it.

Ok I'm grumpy about:

Cops hiding behind trees with speed cameras.
Trucks through Freo.
Vehicles that don't move left.
Speed limits.
Large unnecessary vehicles.
Thievery.
Garbage.
Polis, Commies, Monopolists, Safetycrats
Bike helmets, arm pads, knee pads.
Health nuts, gyms, "lifestyle."
Terrible restaurant service.
Spam.
Witches.
Ads, pop-ups, bickering, moving pop-ups, bad singing, bad food.
No wind.

And that's just a start.

And Grumple...I do love the sun rise, but now have a nice warm hat to keep my head warm, can't wait to try it out

Ahh! sex and middle age, my favourite topic.

Georgie old boy, that world domination thing, its just so passe, the old empire's been at it for centuries. Instead of invasion, why not try a picture of HRH in the nud, certainly helps me crack a wood!

Regards

Tony (The Pony).

Hey Hardie,

Help may be at hand.

Seems theres a report on today/tonight (ch 7) on 10/6/05 that offers a cure for "Grumpy Old Man Syndrome"
Can you believe its actually a syndrome

Syndrome, I've lived with disorders all of my life, a syndrome is usually a lable to either amalgamate a whole pile of disorders, or a word for something that will be a disorder in the future

If they are going to make it a syndrome, at least give it a decent acronym

i.e Grumpy Old maN And Depressed Syndrome
