Fatal fall into septic tank
Goya Dmytryshchak
May 26, 2012 - 4:52PM

A 43-year-old woman died after falling head first into a septic tank at Wallan, north of Melbourne, this afternoon.

Firefighters who attended the Windsor Drive property just before 2pm saw the woman's feet emerging from the tank.

CFA duty officer Ron Van Dorsser said the house was up for sale and the woman had been doing maintenance work when she died.

Police say her death is not suspicious.

May she rest in peace.
What do the statisticians think... 1,000,000,000:1 chance of going out like that?

Absolute sincere condolences to her family, friends, acquaintances, and colleagues.

Side note: Funerals can be a bit of fun, catching up with a vast range of people do don't see too often. The better funerals are probably the cancer ones, because everyone sort of knows that funeral is a half chance, and you sort of had warning... No warning for this situation though.

Boofy, did he at least pop back up? I assume/hope you were able to pull him out/up? The laughs suggested it ended up without any problems!

Agree, I've seen a grease trap... Raw sewerage in Australia is probably as clean as some rivers in Asia... No real issue...

Note: Raw Sewerage is made up of toilet water, including quite an amount of excess clean water, plus laundry water, kitchen sink water, the dish washer, and vanity basins... It's actually fairly clear / watery.

Never believe 100% what you see in the papers.
Her father and her were cleaning the tank. It was clean she slipped in clean water at the top of the tank and was sucked down her 70 year old father was trying to pull her out of the tank. She drowned with her father struggling to try and save her. This was a regular routine for her and her father. Right now they are inconsolable and are really struggling. Please send love to the family. Even if you don't know them.
