Hi guys, noticed a few people posting about some nice uke's :) I'm pretty stuck on which one to buy. Have put it down to a few options:

TIki TMC-5-NST Ukulele www.musocity.com.au/ukulele/ukulele-ukuleles/concert/tiki-tmc-5-nst-series-5-solid-mahogany-top-concert-ukulele-w-hard-case.html

Kala KA-CE www.bettermusic.com.au/kala-concert-ukulele-mahogany-w-pickup-ka-ce

Oscar Schmidt OU2 www.musiciansfriend.com//folk-traditional-instruments/oscar-schmidt-ou2-concert-ukulele

So far I haven't found a kala or OS in store to try so unfortunately have to shop online :( Any advice?

I bought a Mahalo uke a few years back, but got bored with it quite fast and gave it to my son (1 y.o then). He played a Hendrix style separating neck and body
I don't miss it.. I've got three guitars to play with..

If you want it for travel, it's better to buy some proper travel guitar rather than uke IMO

Apparently the best pitch for a ukulele depends on how far away the bin is

Maybe I'm just a wee bit cynical but why come to a water sports forum to ask about ukuleles when you've asked the same on a ukulele forum?

Sammy556 is probably a Kiwi.

When he heard people talking about utes he probably thought they were talking about ukes, cuzzie-bro.

Why bother with a travel guitar? you can't get bass from a tiny volume. Might as well ditch the two strings and call it a uke. Then you can turn up at all the uke clubs in pubs along the way.

Go the Mahalo, a great uke...the only uke!

I bought the Mrs a Leilani Ukulele CONCERT.
She hasn't touched it, so if you're in Sydney and can collect, you can have it.

Looks like the 20 bucka is the go !!!

I can see the value in a nice guitar even though I play a $170 Sigma from the hock shop, with Elixir strings, all up about $200

But a Uke? $20 sounds great until you get good enough to notice the diff

I used to own a Washburn Rover, which I bought for my NZ camping/surfing trip, then I used it just to play a "rain song" by LedZep because it needs a different tuning and I couldn't be bothered retuning my normal guitars..its a cool song to play BTW...that washburn was my "rain song" guitar..the sound was great.

Here is Billy Gibbons playing on a travel guitar
