I have a one way ticket into Denpasar and no real plans after that except a boat trip a week after I get there.. Will I have any trouble entering with no ongoing flight departing Indonesia? Cheers...
Yeah you might have an issue. I'm almost certain you will need a departure card before you're allowed entry. But what Harry Potter said is worth a try. They are even accepting AUD these days
look up a flight out of there and print out a home made itinerary. most tickets are paperless now- just get the flight number & date right, make it for later than you expect to leave & when you do fly out say you decided to leave early.
save your get out of gaol money for when you really need it
A long time a go that wasnt a problem as long as you could prove you had a minimum of $1000 in your account, or a visa card, to afford a ticket back out. But things might have changed since then.
last week you had to fill out a departure card when getting your visa they specifically wanted to know where you were staying, which flight and date you were leaving. i wouldnt have been game to slip any money in a passport, there was a ** load of security people watching the customs people...........
Organize your flights home. I just organized my 60 visa to go on the 1st of may and the Indonesian consulat in maroubra said its a must these days after some many people over stay there welcome!
Also if anyone can recommend some spots let me know! Sorry for minorly hijacking ur post
Organise your flights home, but make sure they can be changed. Not sure what the go with the low cost carriers is now, but I used to pop into the Garuda office in Kuta and change my return flights for a $50 fee. A lot of travel places (I think the MBA offices that are everywhere can do it) can extend your 30 day visa for a fee too.
That said, I don't remember ever having my departure flights ever checked?
I can never remember them checking if the departure flight details you write on your arrival/departure card are true or not. Can't see how they would, I lie about what hotel I stay in, the details are sold on to marketers who will call your hotel and ask for you by name. In the bigger hotels it's not a problem, but in the small hotels the staff aren't as good at vetting your calls.
