Is there a shower down by Point Walter? Would like to be able to get ready for work after a morning session.

I carry a 5 litre water container ($6.99 from Bunnings). Fill it with hot water and wrap your towel around it. It will stay warm for 12 hours so don't make it too hot if you are using it in the morning.

I rinse the sand off my feet and wetsuit then strip off the wettie and wash myself down.

Even on the coldest, bad weather days the wind is evaporating the water off your body but it's warm so you stay warm. Quickly dry off with your nicely warmed towel. Dress and off you go.

Hey Gorgo, I don't think your system would be much good at Point Walter. Anywhere else maybe, but it takes a fair volume of clean water to be confident that there is no trace of the Swan River left on you!

I have had that experience, although not at Point Walter. Could not react physically as I was half way through a big dump
