I've been watching buller and for most of the season there's been little to no snow.

I can't remember it ever being so bad.

Global warming kicking in doesn't make sense.

I think the last time it snowed in WA was about 36,000 years ago, is that right?

If anyone has booked for September, they should be OK.
Law of averages mean we should get 2 half decent dumps in August...
But yeah, it's been a horrible end to July...
Now it is 1st August and I've seen better snow coverage on June 5th in other years!

Thredbo in July and had a ball, got a heap of snow, but the base was paper thin. C'mon August bring me some of that sweet white powder!

It's Labors fault.... Not enough allocated in the fiscal budget for snow this year.... Too busy with trying to get the budget into surplus....

It snows on the Stirling Ranges roughly one in every 3 years. It's even snowed in the Porongorups. It snowed on the tops of Perth's tallest buildings in 1971, but it melted on contact.

With no decent base it's turning into slosh as soon as the sun hits it.

Well, I'm up there next week. Hope the fishing's good.

There's a photo up in one of the food joints on Middelton Beach in Albany showing the beach, carpark and pines covered in snow. I believe it snowed in Roleystone (outer suburb in the hills of Perth) in the 70's too?

Re: Snow on beach ^ - 1980's surf video... I think it was Tahitian Dreams??... starts off with a scene on the beach in France (I think), with snow!! On the beach!
Then cuts to a shot of an Air France plane; next thing you now, they are in Tahiti!

It was back in the era of Mad Wax! I Surfed with Ross Clarke Jones at Winki yesterday too! The Wizz!

^ exactly Scotty!

Still an average snow season though! Hopefully they get some nice dumps very soon, so at least end of August and early Sept can be OK!
